I stopped by Kings Village when their outdoor market was taking place. It was nice seeing the different food options available as I walked through. Seemed like a lot of people were coming and going.
Due to be demolished to make way for another high rise, King’s Village is a relic of the Waikiki of yesteryear. It is mostly occupied by touristy souvenir shops and quaint eateries now, but it also includes the King’s Guard Museum and a courtyard of iconic Hawaii entertainers’ handprints in cement. The whole complex is nostalgic of the past, including Rock Island Cafe that has a lot of old time 50s memorabilia. If you remember visiting this place when they used to have the King’s Guard performances, come visit to stroll and see the place before it’s gone. (They do have fire knife dancers performing still every Thursday at 6:30.) Aloha, King’s Village!
When the shops are open its much more interesting. There very easy to miss unless you know there there. There's very Many lil shops between and behind these to restaurants.
So sad they are tearing it down!!! A piece of history being replaced by another Hilton Hotel.
It's a pleasant little shopping area with local goods for sale and a pretty nice farmers market. Good luck finding parking on the weekends, though.

So glad we came upon this attraction. The village was very pretty to be in, lots of shops to look at and the changing of the guard was really fun to watch. There's allot of places to eat and take pictures with. Lots of people watch the guards and it's always a good idea to go early.
A quaint old shopping area. Sadly this place is in decline. There are a lot of empty shops and those that remain don't seem to be doing much business. The Kings Guards no longer parade in the evening although there is a museum to commemorate them. There is a good farmers market on site a couple of times a week - some great food.
It will probably be torn down and replaced by another tacky mall or condo development. What a crying shame !
April 2019. Yep, it's all boarded up and ready to be torn down. A new tower block will take its place.
